Job Overview:

As the CTO, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our technology strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional products and services. You will play a crucial role in transforming our startup into a market-leading FinTech organization. Working closely with the executive team, you will lead a talented team of developers, engineers, and IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy and Innovation:

● Develop and execute the company's overall technology vision and strategy, aligning it with business goals and market trends.

● Identify emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact and relevance to our business.

● Drive innovation by leading research and development efforts to introduce new products, features, and solutions.

Team Leadership and Management:

● Build and lead a high-performing technology team, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

● Manage the recruitment, training, and professional development of technical staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.

● Foster an inclusive and diverse work environment, encouraging creativity and a sense of ownership among team members.

Technical Architecture and Solution Development:

● Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our technology infrastructure, applications, and systems.

● Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of our platforms, anticipating and addressing potential challenges and risks.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development and delivery of high-quality, user-centric products and services.

Technology Partnerships and Vendor Management:

● Evaluate and select external technology partners and vendors, establishing strategic alliances to enhance our product offerings and capabilities.

● Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with technology partners and vendors, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and delivering value to the organization.

Security and Compliance:

● Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

● Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging threats, and regulatory changes, proactively addressing any potential risks.

Desired background and experience:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

● Proven experience as a CTO, Technical Director, or similar leadership role in a FinTech or related industry.

● Strong knowledge of financial systems, technologies, and industry standards.

● Demonstrated success in leading technology teams and managing complex projects from inception to completion.

● Extensive experience in software development, infrastructure management, and architecture design.

● Proficient in programming languages, databases, cloud platforms, and modern software development practices.

● Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving innovation and delivering results.

● Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

● Solid understanding of cyber security principles, risk management, and compliance requirements.

● Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to align technology initiatives with overall business objectives.
