Job Description

Position: Platform Engineer - F5/nginx & Kubernetes

Job Requirement:

• Kubernetes Expertise: Proficiency in deploying, managing, and scaling applications in Kubernetes clusters & Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools, GitOps, Azure DevOps, Helm.

• F5/Nginx Load Balancer Skills: Knowledge of F5 Products such as F5 BIG-IP/ F5 Systems and NGINX load balancers and their configurations and Ability to design and implement load balancing solutions for web applications.

• NGINX Configuration and Management: Strong experience in configuring and managing NGINX web servers & Skill in optimizing NGINX for high availability and performance.

• Containerization and Orchestration: Understanding of containerization technologies.

• Deep knowledge with container orchestration platforms (Openshift, Rancher)

• Networking Knowledge: Good understanding of networking concepts, including routing, subnetting, and DNS & Experience with network troubleshooting and security best practices.

• Scripting and Automation: Deep knowledge in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go for automating tasks and workflows.

• Monitoring and Logging: Proficiency in setting up monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) for but not only Kubernetes clusters.

• Security Awareness: Knowledge of security practices in containerized environments, including image scanning and vulnerability assessment.

• CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Experience integrating applications with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).

• Documentation and Communication: Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and documenting processes.

• Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues within Kubernetes, F5, and NGINX configurations.

• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as RHCE, Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) or F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator can be a plus.

• Team Player:  The ability to work well in a team, as Kubernetes and load balancing often involve collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Education:

• Bachelors in Computer Engineering/IT/ any other relevant field
